Essential oils are used in various ways and for different purposes:

The English put a small amount in a large amount of carrier oil to massage the body for relaxation and relieving stress.

The French apply these oils neat (undiluted), topically.  They also ingest these oils pure, adding them to salads, vegetable oil or put onto bread. Several other ways to ingest these oils have since been included such as adding them to seasoning, or warm water.

The Germans believe in only inhaling essential oils – the true aromatherapy. Research has shown that the effect of fragrance on the sense of smell can produce strong effects on the brain especially the hypothalamus and limbic systems. Some essential oils such as myrrh and cedarwood can increase oxygenation and activity in the brain which may directly improve the function of many systems in the body.

Blending oils have also been a good way to increase relaxation, release muscle tension and to help with good sleeping habits. For example:

Lavender and Frankincense for grounding and relaxation,

Ylang Ylang and Orange for uplifting and balance.

Sharing/Talks are accessible on:

  • learning and understanding the benefits and uses of essential oils,

  • health and easy diet methods,

  • alternative healing techniques.

 

Reflexology therapy with essential oils is also available for circulation, better digestion, and relaxation.

Hello all! I waited for a long while before I booked an appointment for foot reflexology with Debbie. In the process, I confirmed two points: This therapy should not be as painful as some of my previous experiences. Also, it is as much about the knowledge of pressure points connected to body parts/ailments, as it is about the pure essential oil/s that she uses to help us feel better, and a strong intuition to sense what could be hindering one's well-being. Deb's touch is healing with just enough pressure that doesn't leave you feeling uncomfortable. I have bad water retention because of some of my meds and often my ankles are like tight-skinned sausages by the afternoon. They haven't been as bad since my first session with Deb. I've also been feeling a lot more energised since then. Of course, I'm getting a package!
